Adilated blood-vessel is seen in the upper right corner. A few round cells are scattered through thetissue. With the cessation of the bleeding begins a regeneration of the mucosa.The secretion becomes clearer and finally disappears. The mucosa returns toits previous thickness of 2 or 3 mm. The blood-vessels shrink to their normalsize, and the extravasated blood in the stroma gradually becomes absorbed,leaving for a time small brownish pigmented spots.
