English: The loop of the Yonne at a place called The Cognot (on Monéteau territory, south of the commune of Gurgy from where the photo was taken) whose wood was razed to make way for workers' gardens ... Forgive them, for they don't know what they do ... The church spire seen in the background is that of Monéteau. View towards the south-east.
