| Description |
Dansk: 1300-1400. Guld, cabochonslebet safir. På ringens skuldre gaber to dragehoveder over indfatningen af den blå safir. Stenen fastholdes af de fire kløer alene uden en sarg, så stenen belyses fra alle sider. Ringen blev fundet i Hadeland i Aggershus' Stift i Norge nogle år før 1761 af en bondekarl, der solgte ringen for seks skilling danske til en kobbersmed, der siden solgte den for tre rigsdaler til proprietær Peder Gretzen på Hadeland, hvis søn solgte den til Hans Michael Seehus. Sidstnævnte har i en beretning om ringen foreslået, at ringen kunne have tilhørt kong Halfdan Svarte af Norge (ca.810-860): "Jeg gør mig den Gisning, at Ringen, som jeg allerunderdanigst overleverer, har maaske tilhørt enten en Fylkes Konge eller Jarl, som i et Slag er falden paa dette Sted." |
