| Description | More guitars ane ukeleles take shape. I asked the manager (who was also our guide) as to why the workers have to do their work under such uncomfortable conditions and why they are not provided with fans, aircon etc. He said they have to sweat it out because if they are too smug and comfy, they will not give out their best, which is essential when you are carrying a decades old tradition. I found that view rather outdated and colonial, but upon reflection, fans would only raise the dust (and sawdust, wood shavings etc) and aircon would be impractical given the nature of work.
