Title
English: Guevavi Mission - on the Santa Cruz River
Description
English:

360 spherical panoramic photo of landscape with river bottom and floodplain below and blue sky with clouds above

Archeology reveals human settlement at the Guevavi site going back 4,000 years, likely due to its advantageous position along the Santa Cruz River. The underlying geology combined with rock outcrops on both sides of the river, create a pinch point for water to come to the surface. There were springs, irrigation ditches, and floodplain agriculture.
