Description

"Guatemala Earthquake 1976. Collapsed part of the Hotel Terminal in downtown Guatemala City. Part of this structure, which is a reinforced concrete frame, flat slab, six-story building, collapsed owing to failure of several columns at the third floor. Although the building was fully occupied, collapse occurred slowly enough that the floor could be evacuated without casualties. 1976. Slide 45, U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 77-165."

Note: this was from the earthquake of 4 February, 1976.
