Summary[edit]

Description
English: This plot shows the increase of hard drive space compared to processor speed using consumer Apple products. This image was created by Anthony Crider for a class at American University in Fall 2003. Computers plotted include the Macintosh 128 K, Macintosh SE/30, Macintosh II ci, Quadra 800, Power Macintosh 7100/66, Power Macintosh 8500/120, Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White), and Power Macintosh G4 (QuickSilver). While most of these used a hard disk drive, the floppy drive of the Macintosh 128 K was included to point out the law should span across technology hurdles. Coincidentally, the pink line later became known as Kryder's law from a 2005 article in Scientific American about Mark Kryder.
