| Description |
I love to watch the dramatic change in color of the green lynx as she sits on her egg case. She will guard the egg case till it freezes and often she survives into the frost season for a while. Eventually she succumbs to the cold even as the hatchlings seek shelter till spring. The spider is sitting on her egg case which is stuck by web to Lantana Berries. Lynx spiders use their silk to hold things together but they don't make webs. They capture prey through stealth and good grabbing skills. |
