In April andMay, 1821, the publication of the Gazettewas sus)>endcd for a month, because the edi-tors ba(l gone out of town and could not getback through the floods. On May 10, 1824.the Wsteni Censor apologized for its limitedamount of outside news for the reason thaithe mail carriers had been unable to get outof or into the town.
