English:

On December 10, 1892, railroad construction workers laid the last rail on the main line of the Great Northern Railway. The men had worked long hours in cold weather and deep snow. This photo of the laying of the last rail was taken west of the summit at Stevens Pass by civil engineer and photographer Anders Wilse.
