Description

Great Crested Grebe, Podiceps critatus +================+ Their second clutch in two months. Keen to keep the species numbers up, this pair at Jawbone Park, hunted off the young from the first clutch and immediatly began a second batch. First egg hatched last Friday, (Good Friday) and the other three were also successful.

We went for a visit, but they kept the young well protected and among the reeds. Caught this little one showing its "Heart Light".
