Description
Graphic index portraying the extent of surveys in Tanganyika, including Mat. Tanganyika. (WOMAT/AFR/GEA), the East Africa Geodetic Survey (WOOS/12) and the Anglo-Belgian Boundary Commission Survey (Tanganyika/Ruanda/Urundi). The base map is a composite comprising Geographical Section, General Staff, No. 2871, sheets British East Africa, Zanzibar and Congo Forest (part of), all produced by the War Office and dated 1919, and portraying hydrology, relief by contours and spot heights, roads and tracks, railways, telegraphs, settlements, international and internal administrative boundaries, and place names.Creation end date derived from accession date of latest sheets portrayed (East Africa Geodetic Survey).Sheet bears the note 'See Also Index with [WOMAT/AFR/GEA/]12' on verso.
