Description Einteilungslinien nach dem goldenen Schnitt im Gemälde von Georges Seurat: Die Zirkusparade, 1887–1888, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. - In einer Studie zu dem Ölgemälde zeichnet Seurat Linien, die das Bild in vier waagerechte und sechs senkrechte Felder einteilen. Seurat hat also Linien, die das Gemälde im goldenen Schnitt teilen, nicht nachweislich geplant. (Quelle: Robert L. Herbert (Hrsg.): Georges Seurat, 1859–1891, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1991, S. 316.) Dennoch folgen die goldenen Einteilungslinien überzeugend der Bildkonstruktion.
