Summary[edit]

Description
English: Built in 1908 by the Haglin-Stahr Company, this 185-foot-tall concrete structure was added to the adjacent Washburn, Crosby and Company A Flour Mill to increase production. The structure consists of 15 cylindrical concrete bins with a 5-story concrete and steel warehouse on top, with two large signs on the roof advertising Gold Medal Flour. An additional Feed Elevator, built in 1928 and designed by the Barnett & Record Company, with 15 more slender cylindrical concrete bins and a 20-foot-tall workhouse on top stands immediately to the west. Presently unused, this structure has proven difficult to adaptively reuse for another purpose, though it has been well-maintained. The building is a contributing structure in the Saint Anthony Falls Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
