Summary[edit]

Description

American patrol, Brandenburg Tor, Berlin, probably 1952 Note; Damaged stonework on the Tor has been partially repaired, but the statue “Goddess of Victory” is missing, it was so badly damaged in the final days of the war the remains had to be removed, the bronze statue, her chariot and four horses ( Quadriga ) was not replaced until 1958, recast in bronze from original moulds. ( Each horse is approx. 4 metres high )
