Summary[edit]

Description
English: Why the name? Early 19th Century maps of the Eversfield Estate show a reef of rocks labelled "Goat Ledge", running South East from what is now Warrior Square. This name was coined before St Leonards was built, by the stockmen of Gensing Farm, who brought their animals to the waters edge, where their goats feasted on the seaweed that grew there.
