Summary[edit]
DescriptionGo Ahead London articulated bus Mercedes Benz Citaro G Red Arrow Route 507 in Victoria Bus Station, London 2 April 2007.jpg |
English: A London General articulated Mercedes-Benz Citaro G outside Victoria Station. Route 507 was one of the first London Bus routes to be converted to articulated, or bendy, buses on 2 June 2002, from the ageing Leyland National single deckers. Being a relatively short commuter route and so little used outside peak times, this route was suitable to test the bendy buses on, rather than a major trunk route. It was also the first route to have its articulated buses replaced, as part of Boris Johnson's pledge to withdraw them. They were replaced on 27 June 2009 (although a new weekend service started on Saturday 25 July), with rigid 12m Citaros. |
