La foto appartiene al filone nato con la prima visita del circo Barnum in Italia, avvenuta nel 1890, che ispirò artisti di tutti i tipi a ritrarre i tipi "esotici" provenienti da oltre Oceano. Timbrato e datato all'11 marzo 1899.
