  • Italiano: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), Compianto sull'amico morto. Numero di catalogo: 0281. Stampa moderna, cm 18x24, con timbro di Gaetano D'Agata (che dopo la seconda guerra mondiale agì per un periodo come rivenditore delle foto di Gloeden). La scena, ambientata nella "Casa Bianca" sul Monte Ziretto, si richiama, in versione nuda, a quelle del "compianto sull'amico/commilitone morto", tornate popolari con la Cavalleria rusticana di Pietro Mascagni (1890).
  • English: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), Mourning on a dead friend. Catalogue number: 0281. Modern reprint, cm 18x24, stamped by Gaetano D'Agata (who for a period acted as distributor for Gloeden's images after WW2) on reverse. The scene, shot in the "White House" at Monte Ziretto, stands in the tradition of the "mourning on a dead friend/comrade", made popular again by Cavalleria rusticana by Pietro Mascagni (1890).
