Summary[edit]

Description
  • Italiano: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), "Costumi siciliani, 1872". Numero di catalogo: 0002. Timbrato e datato: 19-3-99. Timbro aggiunto successivamenteː "Vincitore medaglia d'oro Ministero dell'educazione, 1900". Cm 17x22.
  • English: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), "Folk costumes of Sicily, 1872". "Winner of the gold medal from the Ministry of Education, 1900". Catalogue number: 0002. Stamped. Cm 17x22. Stamped and dated, March 19 1899. The date tells us this shot cannot be by Gloeden, who in 1872 was 16 and living in Germany, bur rather by his teache Giuseppe Bruno, whose work, after his death, entered Gloeden's catalogue.
