  • Italiano: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), autoritratto come brigante italiano, scattata nel 1896 o poco prima nel chiostro dell'ex convento (oggi hotel) di San Domenico a Taormina. La foto fu stampata nella "Photographische Correspondenz", XXXVI 1899, p. 255, e poi in "Photographic times", XXXII 1900, p. 540, col titolo "Portrait of self in Sicilian costume".
  • English: Wilhelm von Gloeden's (1856-1931) self-portrait as an italian "brigante", shot in the cloister of what today is Hotel San Domenico in Taormina, in Sicily (Italy), within 1896. This shot was printed in the "Photographische Correspondenz", XXXVI 1899, p. 255, thereafter in "Photographic times", XXXII 1900, p. 540, captioned "Portrait of self in Sicilian costume".
