Stacked column chart with numbers of “glacial quakes” in Greenland per month from 1993 to 2013

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stacked column chart with numbers of detected “slow” seismic events associated with outlet glaciers in Greenland (glacial quakes) per month from 1993 to 2013, months of the summer half-year are indicated in light green. Note that the annual maxima occur mainly in late summer or early fall as well as the increase in occurence density with time and shift of main activity from East to West Greenland from 2006 on (dividing line between East and West Greenland is 45°W).
