Original Caption: Girls of The National Honor Guard on an errand of mercy. They are on their way to one of the hospitals carrying fruit and flowers for the wounded soldiers and sailors. They are: Miss Theodore Booth National President (daughter of Ballington Booth) Miss Vera Royer, Miss Gus Davis and Miss Louise Keller. The National Honor Guard quietly did various kinds of work during 1917-18. A hundred girls were trained for practical war work; a writing and reading room were maintained at the Mexican border and an individual canteen work was carried on while the militia guarded our bridges.
