Title
Description
English: Caricature by James Gillray: Tiddy Doll, the great French-Gingerbread-Baker; drawing out a new Batch of Kings. Published on 23 January 1806.
The "new batch of kings" being pulled out of the oven by Napoleon are the King (previously Elector) of Bavaria, the King (previously Elector) of Württemberg and the Grand Duke (previously Margrave) of Baden. Their elevation to these new titles was confirmed by the Treaty of Pressburg of 26 December 1805. Foreign Minister Talleyrand busying himself in the background is shown wearing a bishop's mitre (Talleyrand had been Bishop of Autun up to the French Revolution).
