Description
English: The wonderful Agapemonite Church in Stamford Hill is now occupied by the Georgian Orthodox Church in the UK and Ireland as their Cathedral Church of the Nativity of Our Lord. Website here Calendar here in Georgian For a discussion of the fate of the former occupiers, the obscure Ancient Catholic Church which held services there in the Church of the Good Shepherd, see this brilliant high level photo of the spire by sarflondondunc plus discussion The church is about to be consecrated as the Cathedral of the Georgian Church, having been until recently the parish church of St George. I can't find the date of the consecration , whether it has occured or is pending. See also this set by @barbara rich which includes photos of the magnificent stained glass designed by Walter Crane. A fitting Cathdral church, Grade II* listed despite its relatively recent date of construction - 1890s.
