English: Photograph of George Ruffin Bridgeforth (1873–1955), first African American graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, educator at the Tuskegee Institute, associate of Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver, and president of the Kansas Industrial and Educational Institute. Photo printed in 1919 in the Topeka Plaindealer.
