English: George Cross Club- Rest and Recreation For Maltese Merchant Seamen in Cardiff, Wales, UK, September 1944 A view of the exterior of the newly-opened George Cross Club for Maltese merchant seamen in Cardiff. It was built on a bomb site in Bute Street. Outside the entrance is a a sign which reads: 'George Cross Club Hostel and Club for Maltese Seamen', and British and Maltese flags are are hung on poles on either side of the entrance. |
