English: Handwritten on verso: Becker. 15404 S.E. 4th. Bellevue, Wn. George Carmack (left) surveying and prospecting his Snoqualmie claims. "Uncle Vie." PH Coll 692.9George W. Carmack was a gold miner in the Yukon Territory and is credited for discovering gold on Rabbit Creek, (later Bonanza Creek), which launched the Klondike Gold Rush in 1896. Carmack later left his family and the Yukon and remarried in Olympia, Washington in 1900.
