| Description |
English: Halobacterium-Phage ChaoS9 (fam. Vertoviridae , gen. Chaosvirus). Morphology of ChaoS9 particles by negative-stain electron microscopy. Purified virus was fixed with 2.5 % glutaraldehyde, negatively-stained with 1 % uranyl acetate and examined under a Zeiss EM 912 electron microscope. Scale bar represents 50 nm. Examples of contracted tails (labeled with a C) are shown in the top left-hand corner and the bottom right-hand corner. |
