Notes Beschreibung aus Karl Woermanns Galeriekatalog 1887: Venus mit dem Lautenspieler. Halbaufrecht ruht Venus, nach links gewandt, auf schneeigem Lager. Hinter ihr vor rotem Vorhang steht Amor und setzt ihr einen Blumenkranz auf das Haupt. Links zu ihren Füssen sitzt ein junger Mann, welcher die Laute spielt, an der Brüstung, auf der sein Notenheft liegt. Selbst von hinten gesehen, wendet er sich zur Venus zurück. Links köstliche Berg- und Baumlandschaft. Leinwand; h. 1,42 m; br. 2,08 m
