Description
Deutsch: Die Gedenktafel befindet sich am Westgiebel der ehemaligen Webschule, heute Sitz des IHK-Bildungszentrums, am Weberplatz / Ecke Wichgrafstraße im Potsdamer Stadtteil Babelsberg.

Herbert Ritter war Jungkommunisten und wurde als 17-Jähriger im Jahr 1931 auf dem Weberplatz erschossen und war das erste Opfer des Faschismus im damaligen Nowawes.

Die Gedenktafel wurde jahrelang durch ein Werbeschild der IHK verdeckt. Eine Gruppe linker Fußballfans des SV Babelsberg 03 spürten die verschollen geglaubte Tafel auf und entfernten das rechtswidrig angebrachte Werbeschild der IHK.
