| Description |
English: Gateway, Stiffkey Old Hall. This modern gateway must have caught the eye of many who drive along the north Norfolk coast road through Stiffkey. The piers either side of the gate are surmounted by pigs crouching on coats of arms. These are the arms of the Bacon family, hence, I guess, the modern piggy pun. 582250 was built from 1576 onwards by Sir Nathaniel Bacon with financial help from his father Sir Nicholas Bacon. |
