| Description |
English: Gate on the eastern edge of Bisterne Common, New Forest This gate leads from the western edge of Dur Hill Inclosure to Bisterne Common. The boundary fence between Bisterne Common and the Inclosure follows the perambulation (boundary) of the Crown lands of the New Forest. A footpath starts here (the marker post is to the right of the photo) and leads off west across the Common. There are no footpaths on the Crown lands. The reflection of the gate is in a puddle that has built up from run-off water in this broad valley. |
