NEW WHITE BLACKBERRY ICEBERG. Another season's experience with it has only the more thoroughly confirmed our good opinion of the Iceberg Black- berry. No one should judge of it from the unsatisfactory qualities of the White Blackberries heretofore known, for they have been of interest as curiosities only. In the Iceberg we have a berry above the average of other kinds in size and flavor, equalled by only a very few in hardiness and productiveness, and absolutely unequalled by any in handsome and attractive appearance. We especially recommend the Iceberg as a dessert fruit. What could be more' enticing and appetizing, as well as delicious, than a dish of these transparent, crystal-like berries, suffused with yellow cream? No blackening of the teeth and lips in eating this snowy fruit. The Iceberg is one> of the very earliest varieties, ripening its first fruit in the latitude of Western New York as early as July 6th to 8th, being more than a week ahead of Taylor. The fruit is of good size, usually not less than 1 inch in length when fully developed, hrs being rather above the average of other varieties in this respect. Like other Blackberries, the Iceberg has a slightly bitter flavor if not thorough- ly ripened, but when fully ripe the flavor is sweet and pleasant. There is no hard core to the berries, as in many other sorts ; in fact, no core is perceived in eating them—all is sweet and delicious. In this point the Ice- berg is unsurpassed by any other variety with which we are familiar. The berries are borne in splendid large clusters, and so freely that the canes are often bent over nearly to the ground. Strong Plants, 10c. each, 3 for 25c., 7 for 50c., 12 for 75c.„ $5.00 per 100. JAPANESE WINEBERRY. This is the most remarkable fruit ever introduced. It belongs to the Raspberry family and grows about five feet high, and is perfectly hardy. The fruit is borne in large clusters, from 75 to 100 berries in a bunch, and until they are ripfe they are inclosed in burrs. When ripe the burr opens and exhibits a large bright scarlet berry of the most deUghtful flavor and extremely juicy. Price 10 c., 4 for 25c., 9 for 50c., 12 for 65c. EVER.BEARING STRAWBERRY SAINT JOSEPH. This is really the first true ever-bearing large fruited Strawberry ever offered. \Ve quote the introducers of th^ grand fruit as follows : " During last season we had it at our grounds, and a bounteous crop of splendid fruit has been gathered on these plants up to October." And we—on our own grounds, at Floral Park—gathered fruit as late as November 1st. The uower stems are produced in succession from May to October; and as they have an abundance of fruit, some support for them is almost necessary. The fruit is of good size, dark red in color, solid, firm, very juicy, and of elegant quality'. Early runners, planted separate during Summer, hav« also produced a very good crop the same Autumn. The Department of Agriculture writes that it is the only true ever-bearing variety of merit yet introduced. It also obtained a first-class certificate from the Societe Nationale d'Horticulture de France. Strong Plants, fruit first year, 8c. each, 4 for 25c., 8 for 50c., 20 for $1.00, $4.00 per 100.
