| Description |
Deutsch: Südansicht der alten Jubiläumswarte auf dem 653 m hohen Eschenkogel, ein Nebengipfel des Anningers, in der niederösterreichischen Gemeinde Gaaden. Im Jahr 2021 wurde sie demontiert und durch eine neue Stahlkonstruktion ersetzt. Ursprünglich wurde 1878 eine Aussichtswarte aus Holz errichtet. Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Regierungsjubiläums von Kaiser Franz Joseph I. errichtete man 1898 eine neue Warte aus Stahl. Diese wurde aufgrund massiver Schäden am Fundament und an der Stahlkonstruktion im Mai 2019 gesperrt und man entschloss sich zu einem Abriss, weil eine Sanierung zu kostenintensiv gewesen wäre. Technische Daten: Mehr als 8,5 Tonnen Eisen wurden bei der etwa 16 Meter hohen Warte verbaut. Mit einem Grundriss von ca. 5,5 x 5,5 Meter verjüngt sich das Bauwerk bis zur obersten Plattform auf 2,55 x 2,55 Meter. 59 Stufen musste man bis zur Zwischenplattform auf rd. 12 Meter Höhe steigen. Von dort aus gelangte man über eine 19-stufige Wendeltreppe bis zur obersten Plattform. |
