Summary[edit]

Description
English: DATESTONE ON THE HOUSE PORTION OF THE MILL; THE “H” STANDS FOR HANNAH AND THE “S” FOR SCHMALE OF FREDERICK SCHMALE WHO ORIGINALLY BUILT THE MILL. THE MEANING OF THE “M” IS UNCERTAIN

Author Jerrye & Roy Klotz, MD

THERE IS ALREADY A PICTURE OF THE GULDIN MILL ON THE REGISTRY BUT IN WIKIPEDIA'S ARTICLE THERE IS A GALLERY AND THE DATESTONE IS NOT PICTURED. THE DATESTONE IS SOMEWHAT BECAUSE IT IS OF GERMANIC DESIGN WITH THE USUAL INITIALS BUT ALSO WITH ADDED FLOWER MOTIF. I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS ON ANY BERKS COUNTY DATESTONES SO FAR
