| Description |
English: A mock-up of 5 look-a-like situations in GParted. The first situation is with MBR and 4 primary paritions, so that the unallocated space can't be assigned a partition. The second situation is again with MBR, bu now there are 2 primary partitions, with 1 extended partition, which contains 3 logical partitions. The third situation is with GPT, which can't have a extended or logical partitions. The fourth situation looks like the first, but the last two partitions are logical instead of primary. The fifth siuation has a problem as there already are four primary partitions: the unallocated space can't be assigned a partition.
Nederlands: Dit is een mock-up van 5 look-a-like situaties in GParted. De eerste situatie is met een MBR-partitietabel en 4 primaire partities. De vrije ruimte is verloren, omdat er geen partitie meer aan toegekend kan worden. Bij de tweede situatie is er opnieuw een MBR-partitietabel, maar nu zijn er twee primaire partities, met 1 uitgebreide partitie, die zelf 3 logische partities bevat. De derde situatie gebruik GPT als partitietabel, waardoor er geen uitgebreide of logische partities zijn. De vierde situatie ziet eruit als de eerste, maar de laatste twee partities zijn logisch i.p.v. primair. De vijfde situatie heeft een probleem, daar er al vier primaire partities toegekend zijn, zodat in de vrije ruimte geen partitie meer aangemaakt kan worden. |
