Summary[edit]
DescriptionGMPTE bus 2236 (RNA 236J), 2009 Trans Lancs rally (5).jpg |
Taken today (Sunday 6th September) for the 2009YIP group, this iconic Mancunian bus is owned by the Telford Bus Group but many of these would be rebuilt to the EXACT specification and become a permanent fixture on Greater Manchester's streets under MY regime! This was originally new to SELNEC PTE in 1971 and based in Northenden, this is at the Trans Lancs Rally in Heaton Park. EDIT: Wednesday 3rd March 2010 As part of the "Manchester Day" theme this iconic bus truly represents Greater Manchester IMHO.......had this of been new in the days before SELNEC it would have been new to Manchester Corporation (or Manchester City Transport) |
