Description
Deutsch: Die Aufnahme zeigt die Focke-Wulf Fw 200 D-1, W.Nr. 0010 mit dem Stkz. VB + UA gleich nach ihrer Indienststellung im Juni 1940 auf dem Flugplatz Stavanger-Sola in Norwegen. Das Flugzeug gehörte damals zur 4./KGr.z.b.V. 107, und es trägt auch deren Wappen/Emblem: eine kleine C-gekuppelte Tender-Dampflokomotive. Ausgerüstet war diese Fw 200 Condor mit vier aus den USA gelieferten Motoren P&W Hornet Model S1E2G, und dazu passenden Hamilton Dreiblatt-Luftschrauben, entsprechend dem ursprünglichen Auftrag der finnischen Aero O/Y in der Export-Ausführung als Fw 200 KB-1.
  • Erläuterung der milit. Verbandsbezeichnung 4./KGr.z.b.V. 107: 4. Staffel der Kampfgruppe zur besonderen Verwendung 107, wobei hier die Bezeichnung Kampfgruppe zur besonderen Verwendung steht für eine mit 3x12 = 36 Junkers Ju 52 Transportflugzeugen ausgerüstete Transportfliegergruppe. In der 4. und letzten Staffel der KGr.z.b.V. 107 befanden sich offensichtlich auch mindestens eine vier-motorige Focke-Wulf Fw 200, z.B. hier die seltene Baureihe D-1.
