Description
English: Author and artist George C. Furber was a private in Company G ("The Eagle Guards") of the First Tennessee Mounted Infantry that fought dismounted at the Battle of Cerro Gordo. His book, pp. 579-600, contains a lengthy description and several images, along with this plan of the battlefield, that he compiled from notes and sketches he made on site after the battle as well as from other sources.
