Description
English: Looking west from a Far Rockaway-bound Q53 SBS bus entering the Joseph P. Addabbo Memorial Bridge at the Howard Beach section of Spring Creek Park (Spring Creek Park South or Lower Spring Creek Park), at Cross Bay Boulevard and 165th Avenue in Howard Beach, Queens. This section of Spring Creek Park was landfilled using garbage as the "Queens Super Dump" - much of Rockwood Park was marshland or underwater prior to landfilling - and was turned over to the National Parks Service in the 1970s as part of the Gateway National Recreation Area.
