Summary[edit]

Description
English: Frinton-on-Sea railway station. The railway was built through here to Walton-on-the-Naze in 1867, but Frinton did not acquire its station until the Great Eastern Railway built one in 1888 as the popularity and population of Frinton grew. There is anecdotal evidence however that an unofficial "halt" existed here for some time before. As can be seen there is also a platform on the right, set back from the current track, suggesting that the railway was once double-tracked. This view was taken from the infamous 1474448
