Description
Deutsch: Dekoration im Festsaal des Hotel National mit Büste von Jan Bloch anlässlich des Internationalen Friedenskongresses in Luzern vom 19.-23. September 1905. Foto vermutlich vor dem Schlußbankett am 23. September aufgenommen. Der Luzerner Stadtgärtner Xaver Schlapfer beschrieb die Dekoration wie folgt: "Die Saaldekoration beschränkte sich hauptsächlich dem Zwecke des Anlasses entsprechend darauf, dem Gründer des Kriegs- und Friedensmuseums in Luzern, dem verstorbenen russischen Staatsrat von Bloch, vor der Versammlung zu huldigen, indem seine Büste aufgestellt wurde unter einem internationalen Fahnenhimmel, umgeben von grüner Belaubung und zu Füßen die niedergelegten Waffen der Nationen, umschwärmt von einigen Friedenstauben."
