English: Dr. Fred Stone, Sr. display at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, Tennessee, USA. This display is part of the museum's country doctors and dentists section located on the second floor of the museum's "Appalachian Hall of Fame" building. The top-left section of the display shows Stone's medical bag, stethoscope, Oak Ridge security badge, the sign that hung above the doors of his Oliver Springs hospital, and several photographs. The lower-left section is dedicated to Stone's grandfather, Dr. Samuel Stone of Claiborne County. The middle section displays historic photographs and information. The right section shows Stone's World War I-era hats (top), Stone's Lincoln Memorial University diploma, Stone's British Military Cross citation, and several historic photographs. The boots on the lower right were Stone's English horse-riding boots. |
