Čeština: František Wiendl (* 31. prosince 1923, Klatovy) je účastník druhého (protinacistického) a třetího (protikomunistického) odboje. Jako jeden z organizované skupiny převaděčů pomohl k ilegálnímu přechodu československé státní hranice na Šumavě celkem 28 osobám. Byl zatčen Státní bezpečností v listopadu 1949, uvězněn a mučen. Za tuto svoji činnost byl v roce 1950 spolu s dalšími 13 osobami odsouzen za velezradu ve vykonstruovaném monstrprocesu k 18 letům vězení. Šest let prožil na nucených pracech v jáchymovských uranových dolech Čtyři roky pak strávil ve vězeňské projekční skupině na Pankráci. Roku 1960 byl podmínečně propuštěn. Je čestným občanem města Klatovy a čestným předsedou Konfederace politických vězňů ČR.
English: František Wiendl (* 31 December 1923, Klatovy) is a participant in the second (anti-Nazi) and third (anti-communist) resistance. He was a member of one of the organized groups of smugglers, he helped a total of 28 people to illegally cross the Czechoslovak state border in Šumava. He was arrested by the State Security in November 1949, imprisoned and tortured. For this activity, he was sentenced in 1950, together with 13 other people, to 18 years in prison for high treason in a communist orchestrated trial. He spent six years in forced labor in the Jáchymov uranium mines. He then spent four years in a prison design group in Pankrác. He was released on parole in 1960. He is an honorary citizen of the town of Klatovy and an honorary chairman of the Confederation of Political Prisoners of the Czech Republic. |
