Description
Deutsch: Frankfurt-Höchst, Besatzungsdenkmal in der Stadtmauer gegenüber der Anlegestelle der Fähre nach Schwanheim. In Bronze gegossene 1,75 Meter hohe und 0,60 Meter breite Relieftafel, mit dem Bildnis eines Arbeiters mit nacktem Oberkörper. Die Tafel erinnert an die französische Besetzung von Höchst nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs und bis zum 30. Juni 1930 und soll auf Anregung des letzten Bürgermeisters von Höchst, Dr. Bruno Müller entstanden sein.
English: Frankfurt-Höchst, occupation memorial on the city walls, opposite the ferry dock to Schwanheim. Cast in bronze cast, 1.75 m high by 0.60 m wide relief panel, with a portrait of a workman with a naked torso. The plaque commemorates the French occupation of Höchst from the end of World War I and until 30 June 1930. It is said to have originated at the suggestion of the last mayor of Höchst, Dr. Bruno Müller.
