Description François-Achille Marbot (29 May 1817 – 31 October 1866). Chief administrator and interim governor of Réunion, France. Author of an adaptation of Jean de La Fontaine's fables in Creole Patois: « Les Bambous, Fables de La Fontaine, Travesties en Patois Créole par un Vieux Commandeur » (first edition: Fort-de-France, 1846).
