Description
English: Cameo of Francesca Caccini, also known as "la Cecchina" (1587 – after 1641), a Baroque composer, lutenist, and singer. The cameo depicting her at approximately age 30 was found in the Palazzo Rospigliosi in Pistoia. This image was published in Bonaventura, A.. "Un ritratto della Cecchina", Cultura musicale, Vol. 1–2 (illustration facing p.8). Bologna: 1922. The journal can be accessed here.
