Description
English: Motiv / Motif: Ett av bildene fra ekspedisjonen med polarskip mot Nordpolen i perioden 24. juni 1893 til 13. august 1896. Etter planen skulle skipet drive i isen med havstrømmer fra Sibirkysten over Nordpolen mot Grønland. Målet, å komme til Nordpolen, ble ikke nådd, men det vitenskapelige utbyttet var av stor betydning for polarforskningen.
