Summary[edit]

Description
English: The first inscription states that the bowl was booty brought to Mesopotamia from Magan (modern-day Oman) by the Akkadian king Naram-Sin (2254-2218 BCE). The second records that later, the daughter of King Shulgi of Ur III, dedicated the bowl to the moon god Sin at Ur (2094-2047 BCE). From Ur, Southern Mesopotamia, Iraq. The British Museum, London.
